About Girolle

Girolle is provided by Girolle Ltd, company number 17418013, registered in England and Wales, with its registered office at 286 Essex Road, London, N1 3AR, United Kingdom. Girolle is restaurant-operations software available through girolleapp.com and the Girolle iOS app.

Using the service

You must provide accurate account information, keep sign-in credentials secure, and use Girolle only for lawful restaurant operations. You are responsible for the people you authorise and for information uploaded through your account. You must not bypass security, access another restaurant’s information, disrupt the service, or upload unlawful or malicious material.

Restaurant and employee information

The restaurant remains responsible for deciding what operational and employee information it puts into Girolle and for having a lawful basis to use it. Girolle Ltd processes that information to provide and secure the service. Restaurants should not enter sensitive employment information unless the relevant Girolle feature is approved for that use.

Invoices and automated extraction

Girolle can use automated systems to prepare information from invoices and other documents. Extraction can be incomplete or incorrect. A person must review important facts before relying on them. Girolle is an operational tool and does not provide accounting, payroll, tax, employment, food-safety, or legal advice.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you upload. You give Girolle Ltd permission to host, copy, process, and transmit it only as needed to provide, protect, maintain, and improve the service and comply with law. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to provide that content.

Catalogue matching

Girolle organises purchases into high-level product families (canonical items) and supplier wordings for matching. Girolle Ltd operators may review and correct a restaurant’s catalogue matching to keep the service accurate. Cleaned high-level family names may be added to Girolle’s shared catalogue template used across restaurants. Invoice files, purchase prices, and a restaurant’s private supplier identity stay restaurant-scoped and are not shared with other restaurants through that template.

Girolle intellectual property

Girolle Ltd owns or licenses the Girolle software, design, branding, documentation, and service. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for authorised restaurant operations; they do not transfer Girolle’s intellectual property to you.

Beta service

Girolle is currently a beta service. Features may change and interruptions or errors may occur. We may suspend access when reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, or misuse. Where practical, we will try to give notice of material changes or planned unavailability.

Charges and beta pricing

Unless separate written commercial terms are agreed, Girolle is available in the UK, the USA, and Canada. After the 30-day free trial, the beta price for the country selected at signup is £45 per restaurant per month in the UK, $59 in the USA, and C$65 in Canada. When Girolle launches publicly (Girolle 1.0), we may increase that beta price once by no more than £20, $20, or C$20 per restaurant per month in that country’s currency, so the launch price is no more than £65, $79, or C$85. We will give you at least 30 days’ written notice before the increase takes effect. The new price will apply only from a billing date on or after the effective date in that notice, never retrospectively. You may cancel through the Stripe customer portal before the increase takes effect and will not be charged the increased price. Prices exclude VAT or other applicable tax unless we state otherwise.

Subscription, renewal, and cancellation

Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel or update payment methods in the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; we do not refund unused days of a paid month unless we say otherwise in writing. If a renewal payment fails, Girolle may allow a short grace period and then restrict access until payment succeeds or the subscription ends. Closing the restaurant account is separate from cancelling the subscription; contact Support for account closure and invoice retention choices.

Ending access

You may ask to close an account through Support. Girolle Ltd may restrict or end access for a serious or repeated breach, security risk, unlawful use, or when the service is discontinued. Information may continue to be retained where required by law, the Privacy notice, or an agreed restaurant contract.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, Girolle is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, or business decisions made without checking the underlying information. Any additional liability terms for a restaurant should be set out in its written commercial agreement.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except where mandatory law gives an individual another right.

Questions about these terms can be sent through Support.
